The Video Editor exports video in your browser using an unmodified copy of @ffmpeg/core 0.12.6 (FFmpeg 5.1.4 compiled to WebAssembly by the ffmpeg.wasm project), served from /vendor/ffmpeg/. The wrapper library @ffmpeg/ffmpeg is MIT-licensed.
This FFmpeg build was configured with --enable-gpl and includes GPL-licensed components (libx264, libx265) together with libvpx, LAME (MP3), libvorbis, libopus, libwebp, FreeType, FriBidi, libass and zimg. As a result the WebAssembly binary is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later; the other components are under their own licenses (LGPL, BSD and similar). FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard.
Corresponding source: FFmpeg source is available from ffmpeg.org; the build scripts that produced this exact binary are in the ffmpeg.wasm repository (package @ffmpeg/core, version 0.12.6), which also pins the versions of x264, x265 and the other libraries. If you need the source in another form, contact us through the address on our main site.
Videos you export are your own works; the license of the engine does not apply to your output files.
All transitions (crossfade, wipes, slides, etc.), text animations and Ken Burns effects are generated by FFmpeg filters or by this application's own code. No third-party video, audio or animation assets are bundled.
