Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Scenetimental (operated by Differson LLC, "we") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. Controller / contact for privacy requests: contact@differson.net.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name or username, email address, sign-in method, account creation date, plan and subscription history, and your agreement to our Terms.
• Content you provide or create: prompts and descriptions, scene plans and settings, camera paths, edit decisions, and the files you upload (for example CAD/3D models, footage, images, audio, logos), plus the videos and other results we generate or process for you.
• Usage and technical data: features used, job counts and durations, plan-limit counters, device and browser type, IP address, timestamps, error reports (message, code location, page path and browser type; no page content or media).
• Payment information: handled by our payment processor (for example Stripe). We receive status and limited billing details, not your full card number.
• Communications: messages you send us and your support or access requests.

2. How We Use Information, and Our Legal Bases

• Provide the Service — sign you in, run previews, planning, renders and edits, store and serve your content, apply plan limits, support you. (Contract.)
• Billing and account management — subscriptions, credits, receipts, account notices. (Contract; legal obligation.)
• Security, abuse prevention and legal compliance — filtering, fraud detection, enforcing our Terms, answering lawful requests. (Legitimate interests; legal obligation.)
• Improving the product — aggregate analytics and bug fixing. (Legitimate interests.)
• Training and improving our own tools — see section 3. (Legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it.)
• Marketing emails only if you opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time. (Consent.)

3. AI Training & Improvement

Our Terms let us use your prompts, scene settings and shot plans, camera paths, edit decisions, feedback, usage data and Outputs to develop, train, evaluate and improve Scenetimental's own features, models, templates and presets. Please note:

• Your uploaded source files are not used for training by default. This covers CAD files, 3D models, unreleased designs, footage and logos. We would ask for your separate consent first.
• We reduce personal information in training material where practical (for example removing names, emails and contact details), and we do not use training material to identify you.
• Opt out: email contact@differson.net to exclude your prompts and Outputs from training going forward. Business customers can request this in writing.
• We do not sell your content and we do not make it public. Third-party AI providers we call on your behalf (section 5) are used to produce your results; we choose provider settings that avoid training on your data where such options exist [confirm per provider].
• Do not put personal data of other people, secrets or confidential information you are not permitted to share into prompts or uploads.

4. Where Your Data Is Processed

Account data, saved projects and generated content are stored on Google Cloud / Firebase. Server-side jobs (planning, rendering, background removal, CAD conversion, voice, music and captions) run on our own machines and on third-party GPU and API providers (section 5). Your browser also keeps local data, such as a sign-in session, language preference and an automatic recovery copy of an edit (not the media).

5. Who We Share Data With (Service Providers)

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising. We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, under contract, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety:

• Google Cloud / Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, hosting and functions.
• Google Gemini API — AI planning and text generation (your brief and scene settings).
• GPU compute provider (for example RunPod) — server renders, background removal, 3D and media jobs.
• 3D / character and voice / music providers (for example Tripo, Meshy) — only when you use those features and send them images or prompts.
• Payment processor (for example Stripe) — billing.
• Professional advisers, authorities and successors — legal advice, lawful requests, or a merger or sale of the business (with notice where required).

6. Retention

We keep account data and content while your account is active. You can delete individual items from your library at any time. After you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within [30] days, except what we must keep for legal, tax, security or dispute purposes, and backups that expire on their normal cycle [up to 90 days]. Short-lived job files (temporary uploads, render frames, music analysis frames) are deleted after the job completes [confirm]. Error reports and usage logs are kept for [12 months] or less.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK, California and Korea) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export (portability) and restrict your personal information, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and not to be discriminated against for exercising rights. In your dashboard you can view, download or delete your library items. For anything else, email contact@differson.net; we will verify your identity and answer within the time the law requires (generally 30-45 days). You may also complain to your data-protection authority (in Korea, the Personal Information Protection Commission).

8. International Transfers

We and our providers process data in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or your consent.

9. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, authenticated storage rules and least-privilege service accounts. No system is perfectly secure; keep your credentials safe. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and authorities as the law requires.

10. Cookies, Local Storage & Tracking

We use browser local storage and similar technology to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as language). We do not use third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics, we will describe it here and ask for consent where required. We do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.

11. Children

Scenetimental is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Video Editor, Review Links & Error Reports

• Video editor: editing and normal export happen inside your browser; source files are not uploaded for that. Saved projects are files on your device.
• Server features (server render, AI background removal, CAD conversion, scene render): the files involved are uploaded to your private cloud folder and processed by our compute; results are stored in your folder. Your sign-in token is used only so the worker can store the result in your folder.
• Review links: an unlisted link; anyone with it can view the video and leave comments. You can delete a link at any time.
• AI music: a few small frames from your video are analyzed by a vision model on our own machine to describe mood and pace; the frames are deleted when the job finishes.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes we will update the date above and, where practical, notify you by email or in the app.
